3-{9} +{-2}^3
-6 + -8
=-14

3 - 9 - 8

Not fully.
3 -- sqrt(81) + (--2)^3
= 3 -- (9 or -- 9) -- 8
= 3 -- 8 -- 9 or 3 -- 8 + 9
= -- 14 or 4.
sqrt(81) = 9, -- 9.

That is one answer that is correct.
There is another though, if sqrt(81) = -9,
which gives an answer of 4.
