i don't believe marriage is absolutely necessary unless u have children. u don't have to have a license to have that special commitment from who your with, what u do have to have is the right person.

In my opinion...

No, it is an outdated concept that is used by the religious right (gay marriage) to keep people from looking at the important things in our country... like the war in Iraq or the fact that our government is trying to do away with the Constitution.

On the other hand it is used by the government to destroy lives and families in a money making scheme called the "Family Court System".

Anybody that has ever dealt with it knows what I am talking about, they babble on about the "Best Interest of the Children", but the only ones winning there is the Judges and Lawyers from the money generated from all the pain and suffering.

Good Luck.

no, its not a necessary thing like taxes and breathing. . . . but some people believe that a if the other person in there relationship does not commit to marriage, then they are done. . . they seem to think it is necessary. I personally dont think so, i feel like you dont need marriage to have a great and loving relationship. You can still have commitment without marriage. . . A lot of people seem to think that marriage is the ONLY commitment two people can share. . . and thats not true. I think marriage for the most part people can make a mockery of, cheating and lying etc. . . if you truly want to dedicate your life to someone, it doesnt necessarily have to mean marriage.

Yes, because you make a choice to stay with a person through everything no matter how bad or how good.
It gives a sense of security not only for you but as well as for the children in the future
The person who you marry is not only your life partner but your best friend as well

Marriage is not a piece of paper it is a life time commitment
These piece of paper is only a formality

I think marriage is necessary. I am married and I enjoy our commitment that my husband and I made for each other. I believe in that commitment of marriage. I think it is a blessing. I know alot of people that do not want the hassle of having a spouse.

I don't think it is necessary. It is just a piece of paper really that takes ten min to get into and ten thousand to get out of.
And many states have laws set up now that deals with common law marriage and you have to get a divorce anyway

Ask the single mothers out there, if they wished they'd got married.
Marriage is to protect children - it's a legal contract. And it also guarantees men more rights if their relationships do break up.
Also, you're far more likely to split up from your partner if you're not married.
