What was the name of that childrens film around 1980 with puppets as animals??

I am 27 years old now, and when I was around 4 years old I saw a film over and over with my brother, but now we cannot remember what it was called.

All I remember is that there was a wolf and a rabbit, and a quote from the film was when the wolf threatened the rabbit by saying something like "I'm gonna catch you and make rabbit stew".

I think there might have been a scene where the wolf was trying to find the rabbit maybe in a maze or farmland where there were hedges.

It was not an animation, I think the animals were like puppets, like sesame street characters.

I've no real idea about the film, but It sounds a bit like Bre'ar Rabbit and the 'Song of the South'. I think that it was animated though.
