You should be taking folic acid and eating fairly healthy as from now everything that goes into your body feeds through to your baby.
Also forget about all these expensive stretchmark creams all I used was baby oil! You can use the normal one or you can now get it in a gel formula (this ones a little less messy) i used it and am stetch mark free.
i would start using it as soon as possible though just to get a bit of elasticity into your skin before it starts to stretch!
I used to rub it in morning and night.

Hope this helps and congrats!

i felt like that. im 18 and am 6months pregnant. but i didnt know i was pregnant until i was 4months-long story!
i phoned my doctors surgery and asked to see a midwife becaus eim pregnant and i need some advice. and they booked me in for the next day. all though i dont think that they can give you much advice untill your furthur on with the pregnancy. but i would give it a try.but you will have to go for a 10week scan to check the babys condition etc. and the midwife will have to do certain examantions like sickel cell and test for down syndrome and all the rest. but if you aint eating healhty. i think its a good time to start now. i take pregancare which was recommend by my midwife because it has everything that the baby needs although you should eat healthy with these. and only take one after you have had a main meal.Pregnacare plus has vitamins, omega 3 fish oil, zinc, iron, and lots more. and it costs around £13.95 from boots or any other store. and this is a two month supply.
i was a size 8 and very slim. but i have been using stretch mark cream-just in case on my boobs and my tummy-although you will get a few stretch marks but it will help prevent and you wont be able to see them as much. this costs around £2.00 from wilksons.
Good luck

Go to a hospital because it's safer than a home birth. I had a wonderful pregnancy and delivery. But being small down there I can never have a home birth or else I'd rip horribly. It's better to go to the hospital and get an episotomy (however you spell it) than rip by far. That and sometimes complications can happen. Also it can be really painful and you might want to get an epidural.

Doctor's advice everyone to take vitamins all the time. They prefer women to start taking prenatal vitamins before they get pregnant. But of course not all women are trying to get pregnant. lol

My doctor told me that the lotion doesn't help because how many stretch marks you get depends on genetics. But hey, it's wouldn't hurt to try. Being a petite woman I feel for you there, however more than likely you'll get stretch marks and saggy stomach skin for a while, or for life...

I was underweight when I got pregnant, but genetically I was predisposed to gain a lot of pregnancy weight anyway. I was also predisposed to have an enormous child. 8 lbs13 oz and 21'' long. Look at your family history, more than likely your labor and delivery will be similar to your mothers, studies have shown this you can look it up. I forgot where I read it at... That and if you're mom has a lot of stretch marks that is a good indication you'll have a lot too. Lord knows my stomach isn't what it used to be.

You should be taking folic acid. when you went to gp for confirmation of pregnancy, she should have prescribed folic acid supplements. You can still get these off any gp or at a pharmacy. When your pregnant, all prescriptions are free in Uk, you have to apply for a card which is your evidence of this.
I never bothered moistursing my body, I was a size 10 and haven't had any stretchmarks and Im 5 foot 10. Im am now 38 wks gone. Anyway at 6-8wks you will not experience them.

Yes, you should be taking prenatal vitamins. You can get good ones over-the-counter to take unless you are prescribed other prenatal vitamins. You don't have to worry about stretch marks yet since you probably won't start showing/stretching for at least 4 more weeks or until you are about 16-20 weeks. Good luck.

If you aren't taking prenatel vitamins daily you should definatly be taking those as they are not only good for you but also for your baby, blackmores is pretty good. I think palmers has a stretch mark formula in the stores though whether or not you want to use it is up to you, personally I have never tried it. Try and be sure that you are eating healthy foods and no more then two cups of coffee a day if you drink coffee. :) Good luck and congrats!

Take Folic Acid every day, you can either buy these from the chemist or your doctor can prescribe them for you.

Bio Oil is excellent to prevent stretch marks, rub some in to your tummy every day, and two or three times a day as you get bigger, again you can get this at the chemist!

Good Luck!

Start taking prenatal vitamins, that's the most important thing.

I bought a pregnancy guide. I can't remember the name of it now to save my life, but it's not "What to Expect When Your Expecting" it is something like "Pregnancy Guide" or something like that. It's been a lifesaver!

Make sure you are eating healthy and drinking plenty of water, that's the most vital part of not getting stretchmarks. However, yes, start to moisturize daily. I use Curel...and I use it on all the growing parts...belly, boobs, and butt!

Good luck to you!!!
