i'll confess i already knew the answer of "no". it was from a TED video http://www.lifehack.org/articles/miscellaneous/the-ten-videos-to-change-how-you-view-the-world.html A MUST CHECKOUT. and as our weapons becoming more powerfull... we don't use them as much and there isen't torture as much anymore.

I would say no. If anything, it's probably held pretty constant over time. People like to say the media and TV and music and today's current culture have caused the world to become more violent, but the fact of the matter is that violence has always been around. The biggest difference is that today with the media and possibility to easily spread information around the world the violence sometimes is more apparent and visible.

If you think about it there have been wars and persecutions and such for thousands of years.

I don't think so. I think that the amount of violence has stayed the same over the years, but the weapons that instill it have advanced. For example, in earlier times, violence would occur with old-fashioned pistols and whips. Now, it is with bombs, machine guns and elaborate poisons.

not more physical violance. but the robbery of the middle class by the upper class has been the greatest since the great depression. no one knows but there may be great depression II at hand.

the complacent sob's have nearly done us in. the tsunami is just over the horizon folks.

Yes, there are more tv shows showing more violent acts that are letting kids see these moves. Kids then are seeing the violence on tv, and then repeating because they think it's funny or cool.

I don't think so. I think we have more access to the information that there is violence ocurring around the world. but there have always been wars, rape and pillaging.

no there was more violence in the past then there is now.
