No. I try not to live in the past. If we didn't make mistakes how would we learn? As long as you took something away from what you consider a mistake, even if it is only the knowledge that you shouldn't have done it, then you have learned and the mistake served it purpose. If you don't take anything away from it then you will continue to make the same mistakes in life. No one can change the past. we only can try and to better in the future

Well, that would be like regret, which I don't do. I don't believe in regret. You can drive yourself crazy worrying and obsessing over sh!t you can't change. I don't bother with that anymore. I haven't since I was like 11 or 12. We do the best we can with the information we have in the situations we're in and if it turns out wrong, well... we have to try and learn from it. That's what it's all here for: to learn from. Everybody's life is exactly where it's supposed to be at this very moment, whether you think so or not. So instead of regretting mistakes, try to learn from them. If you don't, then not only was it pointless but you'll just have to keep making the same one until you DO learn. Nobody wants that.

It used to and caused much guilt and regret. It was a heavy mental burden kept for too many years.

Through self-discovery and aging, I came to terms with my misteps in my life. I threw guilt out the window. I realized that at the time, I thought I was doing either the best I could, or it was the correction decision to choose.

I stopped punishing myself. When this happened, a freedom came over me. My entire life lightened and brightened.

It doesn't haunt me, but every now and then I'll wish I had done things differently. I'm sure most people have something they regret.
