India is famous for all the best costliest jewelery in the whole world. Semi precious stones and gold. Yet the British came to India, took away everything we had, the wealth of India...

Now the Queen wears it on the top of her awful head and they don't even want to return it back!!

Isn't it pathetic, they just robbed the wealth from other countries.

Especially India, the land of riches and wealth.
The world learnt how to adorn jewelery only from India.
Yet the Brits came and robbed most of what we had.

What do you think?

They were your namesake Mafia Traders.

First Mughals looted Hindustan. Than British & Portugese looted the rest. Our own rulers are responsible for that as there was a lot of internal conflict among the small rulers. Britishers were just opportunistic.

(it is also true that China & India were the largest economies pre Industrial Revolution and commanded more than 25 % share of global trade)

Yes, Britain stole the tea from India! Except that , er, they BROUGHT the tea TO India.
People with enterprise create their own wealth. Look at Hong Kong - it has no natural resources, it even has to import drinking water. But you never hear of famines in Hong Kong.
Look at Holland too - they started with nothing but soggy mud.
I am pleased to say there are lots of Indians with enterprise who have no time for victim culture. What is more, this has been going on for a long time. OK, Britain's products undercut Indian hand loom cloth. But the Indians who bought the British cloth had more money to spend on other things. Before too long they were buying loom machinery themselves. Where is the British cotton industry now?

This is the story of days gone by. No use weeping over the spilt milk. We have to produce people like Ambanis, Mittals, Tatas to get back to our country more than they took away from here. The reverse flow has already started. They played with us unfairly but we'll play with them fairly. In 2010 our economy would be by-passing Britain, in 2012 France, in 2015 Germany. In 2020, we hope to be third biggest economy of the world only agter America & China..

I don't think we did. We may have taken some to to suggest that the British 'took it all' is just a total over exaggeration. Probably the invading Mughal Emperors took as much, if not more. I won't argue about the possible benefit that India had from the Raj, but will take issue with the suggestion that the 'world learnt(sic) to adorn jewelery (sic) only from India' The inhabitants of Iron Age Europe were making beautiful jewellery in the 1st century BCE. the Romans also made beautiful items which included precious stones. Your case is not assisted by gross over exaggerations.
