Your thesis statement merely says what you intend to explore in your paper.

Sounds to me like you don't even know what parts of Henry VIII's life you're going to talk about.

Work that out and you'll have arrived at the answer to your question.

The thesis statement tells the reader what the essay will be about and what points you will be making in your essay. Your thesis statement should state the subject of the essay, explain the point of view the essay will take or describe the ideas on your topic that you determined in your outline.

King Henry VIII was an evil man. then define evil and list his evil doings.

Henry VIII was foolish. then define foolish and list the foolish things he did.

Henry VIII is probably in hell. then tell why.

Henry VIII had 6 wives but what else did he do assuming he had time for anything else? then list his 6 wives and one paragraph on each. then do research about what else he did in his reign (government stuff for example) and write about it.

Henry VIII used the name of God in vain. then explain what that means and how Henry did it.
