These last couple of months couldn't get worse, I hope! My husband is deployed, and won't be home until July, and today I found out my grandma probably won't make it until the weekend? Anyone else having a hard time too?

jeez, I am sorry to hear that. The holidaze are very dangerous times, as many people struggle mightily to say the least. I wish there were more to say, but there really isn't. This is part of life, the good, the bad, and the ugly. Hang in there though, as bad times like this can make the better times in the future all the better.

I hope your holidays begin to cheer up soon.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't like Christmas anymore. I mean all anyone cares about is presents.......who's getting me this or what should I get this person? I just can't take it anymore. No one even remembers what Christmas is really about. Christmas is so commercialized now and all material. Now don't get me wrong I love getting gifts I am just so done with all the stress. I am just telling my family that I don't want gifts I just want everyone to be together and just stop all this stress. I just want to have one Christmas to enjoy everything around me and really think about what Christmas is supposed to be. I am really Sorry about the husband my fiance won't be with me either and I hate being alone on holidays especially Christmas. Hope that helped....try and not get to stressed :)

I am sorry you are having a hard time this holiday season.

I hope your Grandmother gets better.

I am overseas also... but I do get to go home and see my family for Christmas, I missed Thanksgiving though.

I have not seen my wife and 3 kids since last April, so it has been hard on me too.

Good Luck and I hope things get better for you.

So sorry about your Grandma - hope you can spend some time with her.

If you don't have other family near you for Christmas, maybe you could be with some other service wives for support. It might be fun.

Perhaps, you can use this time to make a quilt, clean your house a - z, redecorate, get all of your clothes mended, complete photo albums, scrapbooks, do genealogy, etc.

Joy to you!
