If I remember correctly, (it's been a year since I've been there) in the area where he wants it, there is already a 208/220 volt receptacle for a table saw that he has. Can I just pigtail the wires from that receptacle, run some conduit to where the drill is going to be and install another receptacle? Would I have to resize the wires? Would I have to resize the breaker? I'm a student electrician, so I know how to wire it already so don't worry. I just don't know for sure if I would have to resize the wires because of the extra amperage the circuit's going to carry now. Also the circuit breaker. I personally don't think I have to. As long as the full load amps of the total load in the circuit does not exceed 80% of the circuit breaker value, and I would also have to take that total amps and go to article 310.16 table of the NEC and see if the size wire that's already in the conduit can handle the amperage. Do I sound right, my fellow electricians out there? Thanks for your answers.

yep, it will work, its called a drill press, check the amp size of the saw breaker you should run the same size wires that the saw has,

You don't need to resize the wire. Depending on the size of the breaker, it may trip if both tools are started simultaneously. Have fun.

You will be fine as long as when both run at the same time the total amp draw is not above 80%
