I was going through the internet when I came upon this crazy of having (again) a desktop computer again with these specs:

PC/AT with flip-top casing
120 MB HD
1 5.25" floppy disk drive & 1 3.5" floppy disk drive
the OS is MS-DOS 5
complete with MS-Word for DOS, Lotus 1-2-3
a 15" gray scale monitor, a genius mouse
a RAM of about, say, 256K?

or maybe a Windows 3.1 OS....

guys, what do you think? and where can you possibly buy
these vintage? where can you download the mentioned
programs for free?

Actually, I have a current PC of my own hooked up on the internet. but maybe because of nostalgic reasons, this idea popped up to me yesterday....and of course, i would try to see if i can import MS-Word for DOS to MS Office Word for MS Windows XP

Most of these were dumped years ago.

120M HD is very big for a IBM PC/AT, they initially came with 10M and PC DOS upto version 3

The programs are not available for free download.

I would say if you are planning on doing word processing that would be great. But if you plan on doing surfing on the net or anything with todays programs, save your money and get a new faster up to date pc. Hope that helps.
