I got Brady on my team. My backup QB is now Rosenfels(yeah-- yikes). If the Pats remain undefeated, you think he'll play all the way through and won't ever sit so they can tie the '72 Dolphins? For all the Brady owners out there, if the Pats lose a game, is that the worst thing that could happen to us because it means they'll rest Brady(probably during Fantasy football Super Bowl week) because they'll have the number 1 seed wrapped up? Is it worth it to pick up his backup, Cassel? Just wondering...

That's a good point. I think he will definitely play if theu have the chance to go undefeated. I think he will probably play anyways to keep fresh for the playoffs. I would not be surprised to see his numbers drop a bit because he could come out of games in the 4th quarter. Still, he is a definite start on any team and should continue to be solid week in and week out.

You are correct that a lot is riding on whether the Pats remian undefeated, but Brady would not see significant bench-time until the final game of the season, if the club losses a game. You should pick a backup, but waiting to see how things shake out with several clubs for the end of the season just may get you a bench player who is now a starter (Troy Smith, with Baltimore, comes to mind). Within a week or two, teams may be looking to next year or the draft & want to see how a second- or third-stinger looks in extended game conditions.

I'd pick up a different back up.
