I'm 72 and I have voted in every Presidential election.
It's too soon to know yet who is the best candidate.
To become involved you need to be interested enough to learn all there is to know about each candidate and what their platform is.
This is the worst cat fight I have ever seen in all my years.
All they want to do is bash President Bush and he isn't even running.
He isn't running because you can only serve two terms and his terms are going to end December 31 of 2008.
There use to be more rich Republicans, but now there are just as many rich Democrats, if not more.
They all have their agenda.
It's such a big mess, Hillary changes from one speech to the next. She bashes Obama continually and it's going to get worse before it gets better.
Barrack Obama wont stick up for himself.
John Edwards is more concerned with being a pretty boy with his $400.00 hair cuts and flying his barber around to cut his hair.
My husband has always been a died in the wool Democrat, but he believes his Democrat party has been hijacked buy the drive by media, special interest groups, like Pita who don't want us to kill the animals we use for food.
Also the ACLU, who are socialistic, the Hollywood celebrities, who should just keep to acting and entertainment, those fighting against pro life, trying to make homosexuality a main issue, The environmentalist's not allowing us to drill for our own oil.
The list goes on.
If the Democrat's give us everything they promise, they will have to raise our taxes.
The Republican's do lower taxes, which helps the big and small company's to have the money to hire more people.
You need to study how any promise each of the Candidates makes has to be approved before Congress.
The only leaders of any country that can do as the please are those that have dictators and can take any freedom of the people any time the decide to.
Politics are very complicated.
I have only skimmed the surface of what you need to know and what you need to investigate in order to know which candidate is best for the job of President of the United States.
I suggest you listen to the liberal media and you should also watch media like Fox news with Hannity and Colmes.
Hannity is Republican and Colmes is a Democrat and you see both sides and decide for your self.
At 14, you are old enough to learn both sides of each issue and have the God given right to form YOUR own opinion.
Hope I have been of help to you.

Perhaps you can try and convince your parents or other adults to vote for Obama with a strong argument. Get involved in your high school, some of the seniors should be able to vote too.

Show your support. Get in touch with the campaign of your choice, and let them know you would like to pass out buttons, flyers, hold up signs on a busy street corner. Just dont get in the street and get run over. Put a sign on your lawn, in your window, etc.,

You can still be an advocate of the person you favor. Get out and spread the word.
I'm not an Obama supporter, but its great that you're interested in who will lead your country.

At the least be aware all the political issues around you. Hopefully you get to be a better voter when you're old enough.
