im just wondering if Salvia Divinorum makes you high. does anybody know. if so where do i get it????

why shouldn't i do it?? i want to know. please tell me

Would the answers I've read so far deter me from doing it, no. Have I done it, yes. Does it get you high, very much so. Was it fun, no. Where did I get it, eBay. Will I do it again, probably not. I know some of those answering mean well and wish to protect you like "meanolma" and "precious" but disseminating even one small deviation from the truth to a young mind only creates a more dangerous mistrust. well is it the real salvia or some crap you picked up from your back yard? there are many salvias and only one can get you high and that one grows only in a small part of Mexico. Either way leaves are too weak. It's best to get 20x extract.

That's like asking if belladonna will make you hallucinate. Sure, it will. It's also a deadly poison, like nightshade or hemlock.

My advice is not to mess around with something when you don't even know what it is. This is how people get hurt. Is Salvia a deadly poison? It hasn't directly killed anyone that I've heard of, though a boy did kill himself in 2006, shortly after getting involved with it. It's an herb, a member of the sage family and sometimes called Diviner's Sage or Sage of the Seers. But that isn't the problem; the problem is that you obviously are extremely eager to ingest a drug you know absolutely nothing about. You don't even know if it will get you high or what it will do to you but if some people on the Internet tell you it will get you high, you are more than willing to go get it and ingest it.

That is one of the stupidest and saddest things I've ever heard. It's people like you who end up ODing the first time they do a drug. Because they don't know what they are doing and don't CARE that they don't know. The effects of this plant are things that are not to be messed around with. They are seriously, seriously mind-altering and can cause strong panic and fear reactions.

I have dropped acid many times, taken ecstasy, eaten 'shrooms and done quite a few other drugs. I also embrace the pagan/earth religions where mind-altering drugs are often useful in meditation and from what I've heard of Diviner's Sage, I wouldn't touch it.

EDIT: This idiot sent me an email saying I'm a loser and a drug addict because I did acid like 10 years ago. Lmao. Guess she didn't like what I had to say about her foolish approach to doing drugs. After posting a question regarding a drug she wants to find and take that she's not even sure what it is or what it will do to her, she talks sh!t to me. Lol. She wrote, "U'r trying to appear smart but it's not working lol". At least some of us try.

It may be salvia officianalis and not salvia divinorum. the first contains thurjone and not salvinorum a. you should dry your leaves before smoking them .

Yes and no. It is not a party type thing. It is used by natives to help them see God and who they really are....something to be used privately with a non participating partner, because you will tend to not know where you are, etc. It's not known to be toxic, it's what you do when you're on it that can be the problem, thus have the non using participant.
I have never done this, I have only read about it.
Judging from your question, you are not ready for it.

well it gets you high. kinda freaky though the very first time i tried it i took a beer can put a dent in it poked holes in the dent, then fired that sucker up....... two minutes later i found my self trying to drink the beer out of that can. to my dismay. several hours later i was amused at my activities.like i said its a freaky kinda high.not for someone who has never smoked pot. or any kinda inhaled substances you smoke.it is like pot but the high is confusing and un predictible .truth is, it wasnt bad but i can see someone doing something stupid while under its influance .

well, Precious... if she didn't like what you had to say, I guess she'll not like mine either, cuz I'll agree with you down to the very letter!!.... Salvia takes one inside oneself and the workings of one's own mind are the scariest place you can ever be.... it's not for a 'noobie' and for sure not for the young.... shamans sometimes fear it.... so no, it doesn't get you high and it's not easily gotten because of it's dangerous nature.....
