would you even mention your idea to your boss? I'm not talking about an out of nowhere suggestion. I mean, if you worked at a company where they really listened to ideas and this idea was simple to implement, and would automatically save money or make money.

If you think this will make the company Money go speak to a lawyer and just see how you can cover yourself before taking it to managment so that you can get compensation for your trouble and ideas.

Yes I would, (If it were for any other company than the one I work at now) if it was for the good of the company and could benefit others. Also, it may get me a promotion later on down the road!

I've had several of my ideas stolen outright from me by ambitious, back-stabbing supervisory staff--who gained political and career promotions.

I'm surrounded now by inept brown-nosers for it.

I've learned these days to keep my mouth shut and my ideas to myself.

I don't think I would. why not patent your idea so that you do get compensated.
