I did this just the other day! Picture it: a nice, individual bathroom with real walls and a thick, wooden door (floor to ceiling). The lock is solid so long as you know how to push a button. Here I am, just out of a 3-hour meeting, full of coffee. I fervently pass all others as I make my b-line for the facility. I triumphantly burst into the bathroom, only to find someone else already in there! Mortified, I make an awkward and apologetic entrance. As if it couldn't be more awkward, the person on the thrown decides to get up and makes their way towards to door, screaming "I thought I locked it!". Yeah, if you had, we wouldn't be in this predicament now would we? I retreat, thoroughly embarrassed, to my office and lay low until the coast clears (mind you, I'm ready to burst!). I finally muster up the courage to venture out and try again. I was gun shy the rest of the day, only leaving my office when I really, really, really, really had to go. I was just starting to get over the embarrassment until today . . . I get in to find a note on the bathroom door: "Please knock before entering". Aye! Why me! Not only am I embarrassed, but now I am "guilty" of this terrible thing. I can't be the only one who has had a sense of urgency! And am I entirely at fault here? Isn't the person inside responsible for locking the door? I've decided I will accept my share of the blame (along with that cursed note on the door), so long as there is a detailed seminar on "how to lock the john". Copious amounts of coffee must be provided =)

Yeah....a doctor and he was sitting down and yelled at me for not knocking. I yelled back that there was an invention called a lock and maybe he should try it sometime. After he finished and we got back to work, I asked for time off, a Rx for anxiety for the mental anguish he caused me. He said worker's comp would never cover it but he has never forgot to lock the bathroom door again!

Only when I had some dried paint on my hands that I needed to get peeled off ---I held my breath while in there--no more paint on hands or bathroom walls and ceiling either

..it happened to me a few years back..i was renting a room with adjoining bath and the person renting next to me was a nice girl and she was like a sister to me(.both of us were in our late teens...) but one day late at night nature calls and i just ran to the bathroom, opened the door and there she was naked and facing the mirror with full frontage view for me to look at...it was embarrassing at first but both of us screamed and actually had a good laugh after that...
