While I am not from New York; I personally think it is wonderful!!!!!!!!!! I hate to go to a place that is full of smoke. The smell alone is revolting, plus why should us non-smokers have to breath in all of that cancer causing gung that the cigarette manufactures put in those cancer sticks?
Thanks, but no thanks - I'll take my buisness else where!!!!!

that's sturdy for the nutrition companies. yet human beings bypass out to bars to loosen up and get removed from the weeks chaos. they elect to take a seat down back and if which ability smoking..then thats their selection. definite, there must be some bars that has no smoking and a few bars that DO enable smoking. i'm a smoker and all the bars the place I stay has a smoking ban on them now. Now our purely Nightclub has banned smoking...a great type of the bands has stopped doing shows there. i've got not went back to the nightclub because of the fact the smoke ban reason my fave band out of PA has stopped coming. That replaced into my way of liberating the weeks stress. Going out, having some beverages, smoking my cigs and putting out and partying with the band. i'm particular alot of others experience the comparable way too.

I didn't know NY did that but I think it's GREAT!! What took them so long? WA & CA banned smoking years ago. Having clean air when I go out to eat is so expected now, that when I go to Iowa to visit hubby's family I feel like I'm choking in the restaurants b/c they're full of smoke.

If people want to kill themselves that's their business but they shouldn't be allowed to kill others with their secondhand smoke, not to mention it smells bad.

Yes and no. Restaurants are for everyone and eating in the smoke is worse. But bars are for adults and people don't have to go there. I think bars and casinos should have a choice.
