sqrt(5^2+12^12+8^12) = sqrt(233) = 15.26 units

diagonal = sqrt[length^2 + width^2 + height^2]
= sqrt[12^2 + 5^2 + 8^2] ft
= sqrt(144 + 25 + 64) ft
= sqrt(233) ft
= 15.26 ft

straight forward
d = sqrt(x^2 + y^2 + z^2)
= sqrt(25 + 144 + 64)
=sqrt(233) foot = 15.26 ft
