How many pieces of square floor tile, 1 ft on each side, would you need to buy to tile a floor that is 11'6'' by 8'?

11.5(8) = 92 ft². If absolutely no waste, that's 92 tiles. In real life, figure 10% to 15% over for waste.

you would need to find the area of the room
you have 11.5 feet *8feet=92 sq. feet
the tile is 1 foot*1 foot=1 sq. foot, so you would need 92 tiles
