I'm looking to move with my room mate to California :) Where in California are those beautiful night lights? How about a place where we can see a part of the city?

San Francisco would probably be the most beautiful at night in my opinion. The view from the East Bay hills is great at night with the city and the bridges lit up. The view from Twin Peaks in the city is also really nice.
Los Angeles is also a great city at night, especially the view from the Hollywood Hills. There are more lights than SF but SF has two brdiges that are nicely lit. LA is just miles after miles of lights.
San Diego is also a pretty city at night and the views are the best from Cabrillo National Monument or Mt. Soledad.

I've always enjoyed the site of the fog engulfing San Francisco from the Oakland hills and in Berkley.
