I've been playing for about a week, and am doing fairly well on money (over 200k), I'm in summer, in the second cave (Toros Cave), but I was wondering if anyone has any good tips or tricks to recommend. Thanks!

Make sure you buy your house improvements every 'Holiday' (IE the weekend) most of those are of incredible help.
Since you have so much money, get your ax upgraded to level 3 as soon as possible and start gathering wood in Toros cave to prepare for your house upgrade.
You want to aim for the large house as soon as possible so you can buy the large kitchen on the first of a season! (The house takes 10 days to upgrade, and you can't buy improvements that require the large house before it is finished!)
In the mean-time, upgrade your cooking with the small kitchen and get in the habit of carrying a small stack of food with you to restore RP. Use that RP to power the Cure spell and endurance becomes a non-issue, you can work until 1am, when you get penalized for not sleeping!

it has a lot of good suggestions. i'm currently in dec of my first year and in the kashmir ruins if that's any indication!! (it's also my second restart on the game i admit, it got boring when i didn't progress!)
