this happens to me sometimes, i step in somewhere to get something.. and i forget why i'm standing there.. and then i'm just standing there looking like an idiot who forgot why she's there. awkward. then i go back to what i was doing.. and i remember right after i sit down :( life sucks

I think this happens to all of us, at times. The next time it happens to you, take a moment and try to remember what it was you were looking for. Think back on what you were doing when you decided to go into the room, and see if it conjures any memories of what you wanted.
Don't worry about how other people might view your confusion. Everybody has experienced this at some point.
