Brennan owns several records and seems to be unheralded when it comes to the Heisman talk. Last year when he had more TDs than Tebow currently has, it wasn't a big deal. Tebow is good for Florida and playing the position in college, but I don't believe that he has all the tools that a NFL QB would need. I would love to see him line up across from Ray Lewis and try to gain five yards. I would pick Brennan in a heartbeat as my QB. I would then pick another player to be my running back.

Why do you care about so much what these media flopper's say. I've realized that media should help you acknowledge some points of views of players, but most of the time they just stick stuff out their butt to get some attention. They make bad predictions, they can make the easy predictions, and get lucky on locks of the week.

When it comes down to the NFL scouting and player scouting, you have to realize that it relies on how the player fits into the system. You do realize that the college level and the Pro level is totally different and with players needing to mesh into the teams and work really hard, there is a bigger chance that most of them become mediocre or busts.

We have all seen the Tim Tebows before aka Eric Crouch, Antwaan Randle El, Michael Robinson, etc etc, but most of the time they won't even become a QB, unless you're like a Vince Young, Michael Vick, and Culpepper which are all overated as a QB. Especially Culpepper who only did well because he had Cris Carter and Randy Moss w/ Robert Smith.

Anyways Colt Brennan could be a great pocket passer, obviously he fit well in the Hawaii offense, but he is still undersized and we will have to see how he does against better talent, and hopefully he can showcase his talent against Georgia.

But whatever lets make this plain and simple, Being drafted in the first round doesn't always mean they are going to be great. Too many busts to tell you, but even recent picks like Alex Smith, Leftwich, Joey harrington, I can go on and on about high draft picks and even Vince Young is overated, with his 68.8 QB rating from last yr and this year, its all about hype.

Listen up Tebow and Brennan look great in the college level, so did Reggie Bush, the next best phenom, but seriously that is a joke cuz Reggie was overhyped and he fit in the system. Just wait until they make it to the pros before arguing who will be the better prospect at the next level.

I'm guessing it is because Colt is deemed to be a "system quarterback" in the run-and-shoot offense, whilst Tebow has been pretty much "Mr. Everything" for the Gators this year.

Brennan has a lot to prove to a lot of people when he goes through the combine and all of the other evaluations prior to next year's draft. At this point, there are more questions than answers, but that doesn't mean that he cannot make it in the NFL.

If he is drafted by a team that is able to make the best use of his abilities, whilst helping him get used to the speed and pace of the NFL (that's VERY important), he has a great shot of carving out a good career for himself in the NFL.

As for Tebow, yes he's had a great year, but I doubt that he will have another year like this one, particularly if Florida are able to recruit some good running backs to take the pressure off of him. But you have to understand that his play this year has been really exciting to watch (plus don't forget that he showed his toughness by playing hurt). Therefore, if it seems that people have jumped on his bandwagon, you can't blame them really, can you?

Yes, Hawaii is a pass happy system. You know what that means...that the defenses are playing pass defense the whole game because they know you are throwing it. OK, well Colt still throws multi TDs every week. You keep hearing how no running game will kill a team, well, Hawaii seems to be the exception to the rule.

As far as the NFL is concerned, there is pretty much no way to predict how anyone will fare at that level. You can try, but it is the same as betting on football, win some, lose some. Ryan Leaf easily could have been picked ahead of Peyton Manning. Tom Brady was picked very late...Kurt Warner was drafted by the local supermarket to stock shelves...etc..

I would bet a thousand dollars that if just one of the two become successful in the NFL, it will be Colt.

June Jones had it right, Tebow is in a 'system' also..one that calls for lots of QB keepers. No disrespect to Tebow, I think he will and should win the Heisman, his numbers speak for themselves. But NFL teams have seen the failure of trying to have a rushing QB...so they will overlook Tebow and pick Colt.

But they both might suck or they both might succeed, place your bet.

I think Tony Dungy is a great coach and admire what he's done for many athletes out there who need guidance. That being said, Tim Tebow will not excel in the NFL and will not be a #1 pick. Tebow is a great college quarterback, possibly the greatest ever, and he will be remembered as such. Don't get me wrong...he will get a shot in the NFL, but half of those plays he can pull off now, won't work against an NFL defense.

Neither have the potential to be a big time NFL qb. Tebow has more athletic ability and his ability to scramble is better suited for the NFL then what Brennan has. Brennan is a product of Hawaii's system anyone remember Chang as well from Hawaii he had gaudy numbers too, but he wasn't drafted or made it to the NFL. Tebow I believe has the better chance he's still learning but he could turn into the next Steve Young!

I think on his own hell be a good NFL QB, What people need to understand is that its the system that helps the QB. Very few QB's are naturally good without a system. Both Tebow and Brennan are system QB's. Without the system they are average joes. Tebow has a lil more athleticism though.

Because the critics don't believe COLT BRENNAN will succeed in the NFL.

I think otherwise Brennan will beat out Tebow for the Heisman count on it.

Ok ive talked to numerous scouts about this whole thing and its simple. they dont think brennan is not good. he is. its just his size and the hawaii ssytem. they question his his body because they dont think hes big enuff to take the beating week in week out. they've been saying hes gonna have to sit two yrs after the draft so that he can develop his body. they talk about system because they dont think he can play like tom brady where he just reads the defense and gets the ball to the receivers. in a system u have to throw to a particular receiver based on what ever the coaches have planned and not for you to read the coverage and act. but hes got a cannon, hes more accurate than all the qbs out there rite now.

my guess is because brennan is a shot gun QB and doesnt take many snaps from under center. i think that has many NFL scouts concerned. and if they force him under center, will his footwork and route reading suffer?
i dont think tebow will be that good. he is a system QB. he wont run for 20 TDs in the NFL.

College stats do not make an NFL QB. Can you picture Brennan on a quarterback sneak or being blitzed by 250 pound linebackers? I can picture Tebow however.
