I'm going to a memorial service for my sister who passed away last Thursday, and I'm not writing anything or going up to say anything, because I rather just keep the memories to myself and not share them. Is that wrong?

Its not wrong of you. This is a time when you should do whats in your heart.I felt this way after my father passed.I wanted to say so much but said nothing. No will ever understand what he meant to me.Some things should stay unspoken.Sorry for your loss.May the lord be with you and your family.

I'm really sorry to hear about your sister. And no it isn't wrong at all. I didn't say a word about my brother. Its fine to keep your memories to yourself. I did and when I want to share them I just write them in a journal

No, it's not wrong. Everybody handles their grief & loss in a different manner. Some people cry, while others don't ......some will get angry, while others are in shock.....You just take care of yourself, and don't worry about what anyone thinks, as if they are truly your friends, they will be there for you. And my sympathies for your loss sweetie!!

no. the memorial services and funerals are really for the ppl left behind, so if it doesn't make you comfortable, you don't have to do it.

You don't have to speak. It will be hard enough already. Just talk to someone about it later, ok?
