Although Jews comprise 2.2 % of the American population there are 10% in congress. In bushes administration they are in even greater numbers than10%. Bush is a proclaimed born again christian. His faith commands him to back & protect Isreal. God tells him to do it. I have great admiration for the Jews, their devotion to Isreal is astounding. They will use any means necessary to protect their homeland. We protect America in a means that make corporate America the most money! However, we have been subsidizing Isreal for many years, regardless of the political powers in office. We also have been giving billions to Pakistan for many years. We pumped billions into Iraq at one time. We hugged Saddam at one time. We supplied Osama Bin-Laden with weapons when they we fighting the Russians in Afganistan. Now we expect Russia to be agreeable with us. We have constantly jumped from one side to the other. Any wonder there is great doubt about our credibility?

This is an excellent question.
The world's most powerful lobby is called the AIPAC. They own many politicians from both sides. The get these politicians ellected and that "public servant" who's supposed to serve OUR interests, then spends the rest of his/her term paying back his/her political debts by supporting the interests of a foreign lobby.
Please google AIPAC. It the right of every American to know why SOOO much of our taxpayer money goes to a foreign country. AND more importantly why our foreign policies never seem to benefit OUR country and our people.
Start with wiki, but please keep researching because it's much worse than Wikipedia can state.
(pay special attention to "support" and "controversy"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AIPAC

http://www.ihr.org/leaflets/iraqwar.shtml
The truth is finally getting out about lobbies and special interst groups. Foreign lobbies that are THIS powerful are especially disturbing.
ps not only do we give incredible amounts of money to them, we also give another huge amount via "loans" that we then "forgive"!!!! So another incredible dollar amount is also passed as "loans" every year. They give even more as loans and then "forgive" the loans. So just when you thought it was bad... It's really at least twice as bad.
Ever wonder why the dems don't stand up to the atrocites of the cons? Why they say they're anti-war and yet vote for setting the ground work in order to "legalize" another strike against yet another country? They're serving the same master and it's NOT the American people.

In most things they are. But they have been attacked repeatedly by their Arab neighbors, often with the backing of Russia, and leaders like the president of Iran still call for their destruction. Maintaining a military force sufficient to defend themselves is beyond their means.
