I'm not sure if you mean "thread" or "threat". Please explain as the answers would be completely different.

I understand they use threads to make nice rugs.

A real threat, like at ending the USA as a country or greatly curtailing its power? No. Would it be with nuclear? Yes.
Iran is and has been a threat while not nuclear armed however, as a weak, regional power, a manageable one. Its greatest threat is sponsoring worldwide terror that can greatly disrupt western economies and by being a pain in the butt.

I think you mean, with no nuclear weapons programme. Yes I still think it is. The funding and support of HAMAS and Hezbollah should be dangerous enough, not to mention the fact that Iran is openly hostile and directly threatening to the state of Israel, an ally of the United States. I'd say any measure to keep Iran from having the upper hand would be the best foreign policy, no matter how far the truth has to be stretched for it to be diplomatically correct.

Wow, so if I said that you were my enemy, then it would be ok for me to make stuff up about you to prove my point???

That just about sums up the moral majority in this country.
