i think they should have never given up orlando, but oh well. anyway, i dont think aybar is a good fit. i think they should give some prospects or minor leaguers for miguel tejada. with tejada, this team will have a really dominant lineup

1) figgins
2) matthews
3) guerrero
4) hunter
5) tejada
6) garrett anderson
7-9) who cares look at 1-6

im sure you can tweak that out a bit, but thats a hell of a lineup with some good defense.

Aybar is the obvious choice there too, but it wouldn't surprise me to see Moreno spend the money on Tejada to come and mentor the young guns for a year or two. Angels wanted Cabrera badly, and since they didn't get him, they might lean towards Tejada who still has a few good years left under his belt.

aybar comes to mind first.
but when u think about it, u realize that izturis is the better candidate.
he has a pretty good glove and a nice bat.
he can slide into the that two hole. and whats nice is he is very clutch [proved last year] and will come thru more often that not.
if not then get tejada for a year or two till wood is ready.

Dereck Jeter or Julio Lugo.Lugos average is .237.He hit 8 homers,73 RBI's and 33 stolen bases.Jeters average is .322,12 homers,73 RBI's,15 stolen bases. The choice is easy Julio Lugo should be the next Angels shortstop.

their will be battle for the short stop position between aybar, izturis and wood, if mcpherson successfully returns from back surgery and has a good spring you might see figgy at short some too, cause thats his natural position, he was a second basemen/short stop

The Angels have just started to deal and I believe you will see them acquire a shortstop, possibly Tejada.

The kid, Brandon Wood, perhaps someone keeps the spot warm for him while he tortures Triple-A pitching for a month or so but look for him to give Jacoby Ellsbury and Joba Chamberlain a run for ROY in the AL.
