im searching / wanting to use the levathan with the Magnet and ive got the airbase and it does not have the magnet. i tryed using the joysticks. and circle but nothing appears below the helicopter. altho it says in the guide i have that its suppost to constantly have a magnet below it. ive beatin it once before this and restarted and same problem as before and im wondering if theres any place i should look. or if im not the only one with this problem

You know what, I thought the very same thing. I have the San Andreas Guide also, and I went to go look for the Levathon Helicopter with the magnet on it at the airbase in Las Venturas and it didn't have a magnet on it. It only had a magnet on it during the main mission in the story mode.
I tried using several buttons to see if the magnet would drop down or something, but nothing happened. I really wanted to use the Levathon to transport some of my cars by air because it would be a lot faster that way.
