Where I live in Arkansas, full grown hens are around $3. I bought 25, day old chicks, from McMurray for about $1.60 each including vaccination. Farm Stores here (like TSC) sell individual chicks for about $2.50.

Are you wanting to buy locally ? You would have to ask local farm market , or someone who sells chickens. Or you could go on line and check out some of the big ones like Mcmurray Hatchery that sell chickens on line but you have to buy chicks and a certain number of them.
