After updating to the latest firmware version on the PS3 (which adds the scrolling info banner) I have had a couple of issues regarding the system freezing up, about three times in a week. The only way to fix this is to power down and then back up again. Has anyone else noticed this as well? Or anything similar?

Sony has already released a newer 2.01 update that fixed the freezing issues with the 2.00 update weeks ago.

I never had any freezing issues because I turned the information board off the day that I downloaded the 2.00 update.

i individually in no way used the different OS characteristic. That, coupled with the certainty that i sign up to the PSN each and every time i turn my gadget on ability that i would be updating to 3.21. only FYI, they are removing the different OS characteristic because of the fact hackers are utilising it as a gateway to crack the gadget like they did with the PSP. Its a sturdy element they are doing away with it. in case you needed a working laptop or computing device, you ought to have offered a Netbook, they are fairly much the comparable value as a PS3.
