im goign to the drs. tommorow and my moms makeing me get all these shots the ones for ceveral cancer or whatever...buy my mom smokes right in front of my face and she can give me lung cancer but shes makeing me get these shots when im prob going to die of something other then that ...then shes makeing me get the flu shot witch iv only gotten twice and the 2 times iv got it...i got the flu very bad..then she wants me to get the mengites shot..witch once again...i feel like if im ment to die im ment to die...theres more dangerous things...to worry about then a rare thing thing...plus shes making me get a tetnus shot...thats 4 shots in one day..and im not good with being stuck ...this really isnt fair...and i have no say so on anything....what do i do

most of what you are getting are part of the normal program offered for all people in Canada and the USA.
HPV for cervical cancer is the most recent vaccine to fight one of the largest the cancers in females this is the greatest discovery in the prevention. if you have the chance, take it because you do not know if one day you may have a sexual partner who caries the virus. BUT PRACTICE SAFE SEX anyway.
Tetnus-good for 10 years
Flu-optional in my opinion
Mengites-good idea if you gather with friends-even if you do not think much of your health you get this and it can be given to any one you get near including babies and your friends and family. your mom cares . you are lucky i bet you have friends who wish they had a mom that cares as much as yours

I know i used to hate shots when i was little..but than i was in a car accident...and i was poked so many times..literally i would have to have 3 shots a day just to prevent blood clots...plus they would draw blood out..and i already had like 2 ivs on one hand and another on the other...so don't worry...its all on the mind

and i was in the hospital for 22 days so do the math

around 4-5 shots a day X 22= a lot of shots lol..

Well sounds like your mom has her mind set so just suck it up and be a man or umm ehh a woman. You should ask if you can get the protect you from second hand smoke shot haha. They are just shots I mean I get two allergy shots a week and my arms usually turn red and swell up most of the time. Some even leave bruises...

get the shots just tell your mom the flu shot makes you sick and youd rather not get that one shes just trying to protect you becaUSE SHE LOVES YOU i wish they had a cervical cancer shot when i needed it but because they didnt i had to have a surgery to have the cancer removed my body still isnt right from that one and everyone needs a tetnus shot every 5 years the menegitis one -well i dont know how seroius thats going around but i dont want to be the one to get it i hear it is very painful while you are waiting to die so just humor your mom and dont give her a hard time wish i had a mom like that

I've had most of the shots that you mentioned. The pain is short-term, and the benefit is long-term. Meningitis is a bacterial infection that makes your brain swell up, and probably fatal.
Schools even require most of those shots because you are in close contact with so many other students.

Well, go and get the shots. Its for your health. Its not like you are going to get 4 shots everyday. I hate shots but I went and got shots that I was asked to get even though I really did not want to get them.

umm yeah i heard cervical cancer shots hurt a little more but umm menningitus can kill you in a day, and if it doesnt kill you youll get very painful treatment called spinal tap, and youll probly have brain damage for the rest of your life, and i guess i would have to agree with you on the flu shot thing but seriosuly if you are sick then you dont have to goto school plus shots dont hurt that much, youre kinda a whiner. and the smoking thing is totally different, just tell your mom that if youre going to take precautions then she should at least smoke outside. and please stop whining about shots they dont hurt that much, oh and dogzilla if your gonna post random untrue things at least have something to back it up, you are a very uneducated dumass and i kinda think our just tryin to cause problems, trust me my friends mom is a doctor and when everyone that was unvaccinated at my school got meningits (even a few kids died) me and my friends that got vaccinated werent sick and all of our friends got spinal taps which are at least 100 times more painful than a shot

I just finished up with shot 2 of the cervical cancer (gardasil) vaccine and it wasn't that bad. You'll be ok =)

i got three shots in one day and I'm still alive! i got the one for cervical cancer (it was okay)! depo (birth control) and some other shot i needed to get when i was younger! in January i got to do the same thing!
