have a battery charge against me, this is my first charge and the "violence" was very minor. (not trying to make an excuse). For anyone who has ever had or knows someone who's had this type of situation and has been ordered to take anger management courses, how many sessions did you have to take? My lawyer is recommending that I be proactive and take them ahead of time but the person I like has a mandatory 12-sessions and I don't wanna waste my $$$ by doing these 12 and then the court says do 6 or 9 sessions.
The reason I am saying that I don't want to waste any money is because I didn't strike anyone. It was incidental and she didn't believe me so she called the police. I am a very calm person and do not need these sessions. Sure everyone is going to say they don't need these but I SERIOUSLY don't need these, which is why I don't wanna waste my $$$.

more details...the story is different but according to the police report, she told me that someone would stab me so I tossed a knife to her and said "why don't you do it then". I then grabbed her arms and she ended up with some scratches on her arms.
