Yeah and that 48-27 loss was a lot closer.. 14 points in garbage time,, hurt the appearance.
I do believe the Cowboys are the best team in the NFL. But I disagree with your SB prediction...
AFC Champ--- Indy 38 NE 35
NFC Champ--- Dal 37 GB 31
SB XLII Dallas 45 Indy 42

The Cowboys have improved from the last meeting with the Patriots, but they've still got work to do. Aaron Rodgers of the Packers really exploited that defense. If Favre didn't put the Packers in such a hole, they might have pulled the win. The Dallas offense dominated, but you've gotta remember that GB was missing like 2 guys from the D line, a safety, and most importantly, Charles Woodson. The combination of all of these guys missing put no pressure on Romo and left the receivers wide open.
At either rate, the Cowboys ARE a very good team, and if they get past the Packers again in the playoffs, they do have a good chance of beating the Patriots. But don't misjudge the Patriots. Yeah, they've had some close ones, but what is important is they have proven that they can hang tough. They mounted a 10 point comeback against what used to be arguably the best team in the league, the Colts. They dismantled the Cowboys, their defense stepped up when it needed to against Philly, and their offense did not shake under pressure.
No doubt the Patriots got a little lucky in the last game, but realistically winning every single game by a margin they did would be nearly impossible. Every team has its bad days, including the Patriots.
So what I am basically trying to say is, although the Cowboys are very good, they have not yet proven that they are the best. The Patriots are still the best team out there, and will be until they either get beat in the Playoffs or the Superbowl.
I am expecting a good game if the Cowboys make it to the Super Bowl.

The Packer win over San Diego and the Dallas win over Chicago provided a ton of readability in the NFL ability scores, with the 5 undefeated communities now rightfully maximum efficient the way. a million New England Patriots 2 Indianapolis Colts 3 Pittsburgh Steelers 4 Dallas Cowboys 5 eco-friendly Bay Packers

The only guarantee of any game between two competitors is that someone will win and someone will lose.
Two boxers meet in the ring; only one will win. The winner is, at that meeting, the "best".
Two bowlers square off; only one can win. The one who bowls the best score, is, at that moment, the "best".
Olympic contenders, no matter what disciplicine, perform to the best of their ability on a particular day: Sometimes it is not their best day, and someone else wins.
Since the Super Bowl is the ultimate challenge between the two NFL teams who have been determined to be the two "best", the winner will ultimately be considered the "best of the best".

Nobody is going to beat the Pats. As much as I hate to say it, and despise them for their cheating, the NFL looks the other way apparently. The Cowboys are decent, but it's unfair to say they beat the Packers when you take into account all the sidelined starters. Considering that game was in Dallas, all the injuries, and the game being as close as it was, I'd definitely take the Packers if they meet in the playoffs and both teams are healthy. But then the Packers will just go to the Superbowl and have their asses handed to them by the N.E. Cheaters.

I am a big Cowboy fan no doubt. But I think it will take one more season to win the show. I think this year it is New England again. When they played the Cowboys they still look crisp. Romo was a bit intimidated still. Next year is the year for sure. Indy is out and there will be a new sheriff in town. ROMO to TO. and the Defense is getting better every game. Oh yes and the Offensive line is giving great protection.

Cowboys will be in the Bowl with the Pats....but, Pats will win. Don't get me wrong, Dallas is very good, but everyone has to face the facts. Pats have it going on, and remember, all the haters out there....if your team was playing like the Pats, would you feel bad for the rest of the NFL? Not quite

I hold out serious hope. Im in love with Romo and have great confidence in him. I really think that since we've played them, and considering what the eagles and ravens have done, we seriosuly have a shot. Our offense is amazing and our defense is shaping up and really putting pressure on the QB, and thats just what we need to shake Brady up.
Cowboys! 43-35

Cowboys are the obvious favorite for the NFC...if Patriots defense plays like it has the last two weeks against Pittsburgh they'd be in trouble...my guess Belichick will be a beast at practice this week and rights the ship and Patriots go 19-0...I'll stick with my earlier prediction:
Super Bowl 2008
Patriots 37
Cowboys 27
