Im pretty sure his son has contact with the dog/father but really dont remember much more. Very sweet movie,hope somebody can remember and thanks ahead of time.....

All dogs go to heaven :)... Just kidding the movie you want is a Disney movie I think. I remember it just not the name. Its a live action not a cartoon.
