Last year, my fiance made me a double fleece blanket. It is wonderful, and it generally keeps me very warm (I get very cold in the winter). However, it occurred so me that a double fleece blanket would be better with an extra fleece layer. I searched the Internet far and wide, and could not find any plans or ideas on how to create a triple fleece blanket (such a blanket is certainly not available for retail purchase). Does anyone have any ideas on how I could make one?

Just make it the same as for two, except instead of double knots, tie self-knots with all three fringes. You won't be able to see the middle layer except for the fringe.

here is how to make the blanket

A fun way to make a three layer fleece blanket would be to do a chenille look. Here are directions for a three layered scarf but you could do the same easily with a blanket. It would not only be warm but very unique!

The author, Nancy Cornwell, has several books out that show many different ways to work with fleece that are fun and easily adapted to making your three layered blanket. Her books are awesome. Check them out in the library for ideas...or better yet, pick one up at the local bookstore so you can have your own resource!

I love working with fleece and I think you can have a lot of fun with this project and wish you luck!
