Generally I am a through the hole guy because I wear a belt and it is a bit of a pain to undue the belt and the button and then pull my drawers down to pee. I guees I am a through the hole guy because I am lazy!!

By "Guys" I take it that you are specifically targeting males? As one of the penis and testosterone owners club members I think it is my duty to inform you that the seat/lid was designed to be put up just for our benefit! Throught the hole is the logical way to do it. It keeps one hand free for holding up the seat/lid!

wow. i get it. hes asking if when you urinate, you pull the band of the underwear down, or do you use the hole thats provided. there was an episode of "curb your enthusiasm" centering on this subject. im not sure if thats what he's referring to, but it seems pretty self-explanatory to me. he's also asking if you do lift over the band, have you ever snapped yourself with it....
