The Shining and Halloween. I haven't seen but maybe 2 of the Halloween movies and I know that it's a 'Halloween' franchise, so you may not know which one I'm referring to. It's the one where the little girl is dressed in a clown costume and they're going trick-or-treating. I swear, on both of those movies, I stopped watching on the same parts. The Shining, when the boy is trying to hide is footprints in the snow (I think they showed it around the same time 2 days and I just fell asleep), and on Halloween, I think when they are trick-or-treating (I think I was just too scared to watch it).

Isn't that what the trailer is for? So that you can decide whether you want to watch it or not? Frankly I am not into fictitious life that much. I can watch the occasional movie for entertainment but the vast majority of them are total foolishness and I like to live in reality. I can give an hour and a half to watch a movie, but to give several hours to read the same thing in a book is a waste of time.

This sounds stupid, but I've kept trying to watch Pirates of the Caribbean 2 over and over again since I bought it at best buy but have never gotten all the way through it
First time my dvd player got screwed up
Second time i ran out of time and had to go somewhere
Third time i came in the room and someone else was watching the other half of it so i watched the second half
I havent watched straight through and i didn't see it in the theater also
But from what I saw of it the movie was so so not as good as the first though

Great question. Thanks for asking.
There are quite a few like that. I prefer pre-1972 movies because they're tighter, usually much better acted and
more believable. My movie is "Wall Street". I'm a Michael Douglas fan nowadays, but I can't get through the movie to watch his performance--as I did in "American President"
and even "The Perfect Murder", in both of which he was very very good, award level also. The first is a great movie, the second a near-miss. I think it's because "Wall Street" starts in the middle of something that we ought to be allowed to discover more slowly.

I've meant to watch "Girl Interrupted" and "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" from beginning to end, but other obligations get in the way. Good thing I went 2 c the former film in theaters when it came out.

I am 37 years old and I have yet to watch the Godfather I in it's entirty. Someone (my kids) are distracting me or the phone is ringing constantly. I've even bought the entire Godfather collection just so I could at least give myself the chance to sit down and watch it.

The Lake House with Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves. Someone always needs something when I am trying to watch it.
