I'm looking for a good book for a book report I need to do for my geography course, and someone led me onto this book as a good one. But the report mostly has to be of the terrain and environment within the story. Can some one give me some details about the environment in this book so I can make up my mind whether or not I should do my report on this? You know, like dry, hot, sunny, dusty, rocky, etc. Any details would be greatly appreciated.Thanks in advance!

Haven't read the book, but I've been there and I am familiar with the song by the Rolling Stones.
Another good book for a Geography book report would be Isaac's Storm, by Erik Larson or Death COmes for the Archbishop, by Willa Cather. And Call of the WIld, by Jack London...
