A DIARY. At that age, privacy is only going to become more and more important to girls...and this is where it usually starts. Get her what she is going to want before she even has a chance to ask you.

Creativity for kids has some great craft project sets. They have this foam cutting kit that's new. It's pretty popular. It 's safe, its the same concept as feeding a piece of foam through a sewing machine except it has a wire that melts the foam as you trace the patterns. It comes with paint and everything you need. It runs on batteries and costs around $35 comes with 3 projects and you can get additional kits for $15 Creativity has a promo going right now. If you buy 2 creativity kits of any kind you'll get a free craft.

I went to a pastime save and offered a number of that stretchable line (looks kinda like fishing line) and a style of cute by ability of low-fee beads. I made her a huge decision of bracelets, and ankle bracelets in diverse colorations. She loved the present, because they placed on bracelets plenty, and it gave her colorations and kinds for basically about each color. She gained a good number of toys and JUNK. Her mom observed as me later to enable me comprehend she somewhat loved my present basically about maximum of all; looks even that age had an appreciation for the concept and personalization that I MADE that present only for HER. And, I had a blast doing it!. (I probable spent a fragment of what maximum of her different presents fee.) (Tip: Get the stretch string it really is not any longer too small, it threads and brakes too user-friendly. Then all you should do is string the beads and be particular to tie the knot somewhat nicely. The knot will disappear into the beads. And, do not get pony beads - each seven 12 months. previous is conscious they are basically no longer IN for suitable accessorizing! --lol) . extra bonus: a number of months later, she observed as ME and requested if i might want to help her make a number of them for her fantastic buddy's birthday. So, I had the excitement of an afternoon at the same time with her, that I in many circumstances don't have had! efficient) .

Well, maybe a toy or something for now, but I would get them a savings bond, something that will appreciate in value. Get her a savings bond that is currently around 4.00%-4.30% A ten year savings bond would come in real handy in about 10 years. Or help contribute to her college savings account, either a Coverdell savings account or a 529 college savings plan. An investment will grow in value, not so much a toy. But a toy may be nice to go along with a contribution or investment.

My little cousin just turned 8, actually, but she and her friends have be obsessed with WebKinz, little stuffed animals that are like virtual pets, in that they can create a life for the animal via a website. Check it out, as far as I can tell, to my cousin, WebKinz are the best thing since sliced bread!

I think it depends on the girl, but my 7 year old niece said "if it's pink, purple and sparkly it'll be great!" She also mentioned Barbie and Bratz...and a tractor. So she's a little eclectic in her tastes!
