Is my cell phone dead after water damage?

I dropped my phone in a pool yesterday. i let it dry out overnight and then it worked for about an hour and now it won't turn on again. is it dead forever?

my friends dad had his phone in his swim trunks and didn't know it. he was in the lake for a minute or two before he got out. he let it dry and shook the water out. and it worked a few hours later

but that was pretty rare. be sure to take the battery out and shake it to get water out. let it dry. and try again. also do the same with the actual phone. good luck

try blowdrying it with a blow dryer....... it really depends on what kind of phone it is tho...... it worked with my razr
