I specialize in substance abuse.
Best part is seeing the changes which occurs in the persons lives, which hear what you are saying.
The extremely low rated of recovery, in this specialty.
Let me explain. Due to how alcohol effect mental function, it is very difficult for the person you are attempting to help to hear what is being said. Their is a residual effect that further complicates the process. Their is much more that could be said, but my point is made.

I'm a counseling intern right now. I'm working at a counseling center that has a strong emphasis on pastoral counseling and congregational care, and that is my area of interest.

When I start "real" work, I'll probably work in a school as a counselor while I finish up all my hours for licensure.

The best part right now is learning new things all the time.

The worst part is not having a paycheck for any work that I'm doing in this regard, and also *having* to learn new things all the time! ooh-ooh - yes, the horribly tedious documentation, I agree!
