Take more pictures. Whoever made up that "steal your soul with a picture" crap should be run over. Smile for the camera dude. And for Heaven's sake, make fun of her back!!!

Yes it's weird.
But I'm pretty sure that's an actual phobia.. and in some cultures photographs are considered to take a piece of someone's soul.
But hey, so long as you explain that to her.. you may be able to hang onto the rest of your soul. Good luck!

honestly, yes because no one should be afraid of posing infront of a camera you just have to build up your self-esteem and let other people take pictures of you with confidence

You are right on the money. Anyone interested in keeping their soul intact MUST avoid having their image captured in any medium. Except cave drawings, those are proven to be safe.

I think it has to do with your expression when you open your mouth, or smile. You are not the only one. There are others i know who 'smile' and look scared, angry, surprised or some other unexpected expression. I suggest you stand infront of a mirror and practise how to smile correctly. Best of luck!

Don't worry, the cameras have better things to do. And just think you will never take her to that place EVER again
