Do people intrinsically find members of the opposite sex BUT SAME culture or religion more attractive ?

Are we predisposed to find partners of the opposite sex within the same cultural groups more attractive than members of another cultural group ?

Put on a deserted Island would Caucasians find caucasians more attractive than Asians or Pacific Islanders etc....?

Is it a matter of survival, natural selection or what we're predisposed to and "conditioned" to find attractive ?

When would this not be true (if it is) ?

if i was put on a deserted Island with people of many cultures and religions it would be most likely that i would find the one with same culture and religion more attractive. Just for the fact that i would relate to that person more.

Yes. I don't know why but I would. You're right maybe it is a survival instinct or it could be that we are more likely to have things in common and can relate to eachother better, get the same jokes, same sense of humour, similar opinions, same music taste, same taste in food etc etc etc.
Even when I'm just making friends I'm more likely to be friends with someone of a similar background because we'll get on well.

I like sticking to my own race because they now the language the religion and have a similar look and i like this. If i was on an exotic island and there was a caucasion male, a black male, and a latin male i would definetly go with the latin male. It has nothing to do with skin colour it's all about which country their from. My country has mostly whites, but theres a fair share of black and brown people.

I like women to have similar intrests as me (video gaming, role playing, theologist.......I am such a dork.....I LOVE IT!!)

Most women get put off by the fact that I treat them well, (open car doors for them, get their chairs at restraunts, don't raise my voice at them, etc.) and I have yet to figure out why that is.....

edit: Race, Religion, and Culture mean nothing to me in regards to whether or not a woman is attractive.

The conclusion that you have come to in your attempt to add fallacious information to Darwin's theory of natural selection could never reveal a single clue evident to what you're asking. No scientific evidence exists that supports any plausible reasoning to your question. And as I have already stated, I prefer Asian chicks sexually to the American ones, so your so-called "hypothesis" which is a poor attempt to add to a Darwinian theory of evolution (which mentions nothing about what you are trying to pundaciously preclude), leaks like a sieve.

I think physical attraction exists on its own, outside of cultural or religious factors.

But then when cultural or religious differences are discovered, it tends to affect our attraction to a person.

I tend to find white women most attractive, and tend to find Asian and black women least attractive, and then cultural and religious factors, as well as personality, can either augment or diminish the original attraction.
