Simplify the Square Root of 120.

Does that mean the same thing as: the Square Root of 120.
I got 10.95

√ 120 = √(4 x 30) = 2 √ 30

10 square root of 20 =
20 square root of 5

Yes, but they probably don't want 10.95 because it is not exact, they want you to simplify the radical.

So sqrt 120 is like sqrt 4 times sqrt 30

sqrt 4 is 2 so 2sqrt30 is what they re after

If they want the actual answer it's 10.95.

if they want a radical it would be 2 radical 30

rt120=(rt4)(rt30)=2(rt30)
=2(rt2)(rt5)(rt3)
If they want an actual value, then 10.95 is correct.
