His tickets are so expensive. I prefer the more stripped down, bare, folky, Bruce too. I'm guessing $60 is more than I want to spend to see a show where I'll be really far away.

Just an update I went ahead and bought tickets. Of all the people I have spoken to, not one person has said it wasn't worth the ticket price.

Take the Trip & Spend the dough

The boss puts on a hell of a show. Besides you'll probably hear some songs he does and say " I didn't know he wrote and recorded that song"

For 35 years Bruce Springsteen has maintained a level of excellence that has been unsurpassed *by anyone* as a songwriter/performer. Shows on the current tour run about 2:15, but he hardly stops to speak. They are among the most intense, hardest rock n' roll, that has ever been or ever will be. His ticket prices are well below other artists of his stature (if there are any others of his stature). You'll tell you grand children you saw Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, the greatest show on earth. He a genius as a songwriter. His shows are *better*. Get a floor seat and stand. They're not that hard to come by.

I haven't seen him but according to people I know who have, they say he is fantastic live. He puts on a show lasting around four hours and only takes a 20 minute break during it. He often plays with no supporting acts. It's all Bruce from start to finish.

I've seen him once and it was absolutely amazing. One of my favorite live performances. And I paid $130 for the ticket. =]
