"Massage Therapy - the non-invasive manipulation of soft tissues of the body as a means of encouraging the body to heal itself - is used to address a wide range of conditions and anyone from infants to the elderly (and even pets!) can benefit from its application. There are over 80 different disciplines of massage, called modalities, and most massage therapists specialize in several of them. While massage therapy remains a popular method of stress relief, it is now commonly applied, in conjunction with more conventional techniques, to treat some diseases and stress-related ailments.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, there were about 97,000 massage therapists employed in 2004, and the rate of employment is projected to enjoy faster-than-average growth through the year 2014. In recent years, the ancient healing practice of massage has gained greater acceptance as a legitimate treatment option, not only from the general public, but from both the health care and insurance industries. But while career opportunities are on the rise, many states require formal training and national certification before a massage therapist is permitted to practice."
The "massage salons" to which you refer aren't real; a real masseuse is a trained professional.

Many massage parlors are actually "fronts" or "covers" for prostitution services.
As are escort services.
Then again...you can take a legitimate massage establishment, with a professional Certified massage therapist who gets solicited to earn extra money for taking the massage to a more personal level...as the client may feel aroused or attracted to the CMT.
As a 3rd degree Reiki master, I do body work/natural healing, (it's a passion of mine, not a proffesion) but I will say...arousal happens with naked bodies and skilled hands.
So is it any wonder?

A "Massage Parlour/Salon" and a "Brothel" are two different types of establishment. One is where a person (male if you wish to be gender specific) goes to have muscular tension releived. The other is where "he" would go for sexual gratification.
