Americans do seem to burn the candle at both ends--so to speak--and very good at multitasking--more than other countries. Also competing with the Jones or next door neighbors. So maybe we do lack in humor a bit--forgetting to stop and smell the roses and laugh. But on the whole--I think we are a great bunch of people. That is just my opinion and you are entitled to your opinion. Thank you

Americans do have a sense of humour. I mean they put a right joker in the White House didn't they?
Americans do not see things in exactly the same way as say the UK....hence a different sense of humour.

I think they just have a DIFFERENT sense of humour. Look at the difference between british comedy tv shows and american.
Now if you're talking about Germans I would definately say they have no sense of humour.

I prefer the British sense of humour....... witty. My boyfriend is American and he will agree that Americans dont. Like me, he appreciates the British sense of humour and we watch British comedies together a lot.

i thought i had a sense of humor.....thank you for setting me straight. i don't know what to do now, i was going to watch the Chappelle show but i guess its not funny. I'll see whats on the BBC, man those English programs are hi-lar-i-ous.

They do, only its different from yours.
My husband likes slap stick humour, I prefer subtle.
Thats what makes us all different.
