The light above my kitchen sink was fine for about 2 minutes and then it would dim and then brighten, it was not flickering on and off. Could the bulb be going bad? I believe the bulb is a Incandescent Reflector Light Bulbs. My house was built 1 year ago, and like all new houses there were problems, but never electrical problems.......any suggestions would be helpful

the switch may have a wire loose - not screwed down well -
or - the fixture may have a loose connection

you may be able to check those two on your own BUT FIRST
turn the breaker off - so no power is going thru the system
- double check by having someone watch the light 'on'
and go off when you throw the breaker

then check for loose wires(and swap the bulb out, if needed)

we lived in an older house for 5 years and started having
an electrical problem in the bedroom/computer room

turned out the bathroom on the hall was also wired to it
and a receptacle in the bathroom had one of the four wires
just touching the post - and not screwed down!!!!

Thank God we did not have a fire!

all the best

they are correct in that it may be a loose wire at the fixture, or a loose connection on the switch. if you are sure it is not a flourescent fixture then it sounds to me like you may just have a bad switch. check for loose connections first, if none try replacing the switch.

POSSIBLE LOOSE CONNECTION AT THE SWITCH CAUSING IT TO ARC OR TO MANY APPLIANCES ON THE SAME CIRCUIT BEING USED AT THE SAME TIME. THERE ARE OTHER REASONS BESIDES THESE
