Against it. It solves nothing.
LOL. . .and everyone who is against is getting thumbs down, and everyone for it is getting thumbs up. Now I wonder why that is? God. Give me a break. I think I just answered a question about thumbs down for opinions that don't agree with yours. Intolerance is an ugly disease.
By the way, how about those people who have been executed, or scheduled for execution, and we end up discovering they're innocent. Two wrongs DO NOT make a right, and they never will. Some people are far too quick to say 'execute'. Even criminals can be contributing members to society, and those who stand no hope of ever being rehabilitated can be incarcerated for life. Someone once told me that it is actually more expensive to take care of all the legal mumbo-jumbo involved in an execution that to simply keep someone locked up indefinately, and I do believe it.

I, too, help the demise penalty, in spite of the undeniable fact that I do have a undertaking with the government torturing human beings to demise. despite if i could in my opinion choose to torture the accountable occasion to demise as an act of vengeance for the crime, the government should not be the device of that desire. despite in case you haven't any longer have been given a undertaking with it, there is the undertaking of the Constitutional ban against merciless and strange punishment. even with despite in case you compromise or disagree with the ban, it does exist, and undertaking a painful approach of execution whilst much less painful techniques are available in is a sparkling violation of that ban. by using an identical good judgment, some could argue that the demise penalty itself is a contravention of the ban. I disagree, however the argument can nevertheless be made.

I'm for it if it's absolutely certain somebody committed a certain heinous crime. The Manson family members who were convicted of the horrible Tate/LaBianca murders should have gone to the gas chamber, but the law was changed briefly in California so their sentences were commuted to life WITH parole. Can you imagine any of those monsters being paroled? There are some criminals who CANNOT be rehabilitated.

I'm for it, but I don't think our current system works. The people on death row waste millions of tax dollars waitng for their execution date. If guilt is admitted they should be shot right outside the courthouse. If not I guess they have the right to file appeals if they are found guilty. As far as lethel injection, I think that is just plain stupid. They should make their deaths as gruesome as the ones they commited. My personal favorite is catapulting them at a high rate of speed, right into a brick wall. Whatever happened to boiling people in oil?

Honestly I LOVE TEXAS AND THE NEW REASON TO EXECUTE PEOPLE. Now 2nd and 3rd offense child molesters can be put to death. DON'T MESS WITH TEXAS SHOULD BE CHANGED TO DON'T MESS WITH TEXAS CHILDREN LOL
sorry for all the caps but this topic gets my blood boiling.
I think they should save the lethal injections and take a small dull knife and everyday cut a little piece off until the person bleeds to death. Call me cruel but I hate child molsters

I feel it should be used if there is a chance the criminal could escape for some reason. It solves nothing. What if those people wanted to die in the first place? It'd be their wish. Plus, it doesn't teach them anything. IF they must do it, it should be after years of prison. They don't learn anything. They're dead. No lesson learned.

Waste 'em
, its costs 86,000 to keep a person in prison. That 86,000 could go towards someone in society that needs it. All of you are paying to keep people alive in prisons, and the money could go towards homeless people, abused children, war veterans. People that need the money.

For it. These people have shown that they are not fit to be apart of society and there are no other options left to do and we can't keep them locked away in prison cells forever the prisons are already overcrowded they should pay for their crimes they committed and their needs to be justice for grieving families.

Ok well if you killed someone do you honsetly deserve to live? What gives someone the right to take another persons life with out permission. I am not for it but think about your question before you put it to anyone. It doesn't solve anything but how is getting away with murder teaching you? Awful question really. :(
