I'm looking for no less than 2gb. (Is that overdoing it?- I have a 2.3Gigahertz processor...) I am looking for the best deal on a 2GB RAM set with over or around 600 Megahertz...

Also, how can I check the Megahertz that I already have on the RAM chips I have now?- I basically want to get a grip on what I already have (512mb) and see what would be best for me...

Thank you!

Hi. Crucial.com has a scanner that will tell you what you have and what (from them) is compatible. http://www.crucial.com/

the system scanner at Crucial.com will tell you what kind of ram you have now. As for purchasing the ram, your best bet on price would be www.newegg.com or www.tigerdirect.com
